All iron products are made of solid materials, no synthetic looking iron is used. All wood tops, drawer sides, ect.... are mad from solid 3/4 inch  hardwoods, the only laminates are drawer bottoms and bench compartment bottoms which are made from solid birch plywood. Finishes are Rustoleum paint products and Minwax polyurethane products.
